  5. Hello Gang:

Good to hear from you guys. Sure miss Flash. No typos? Must have been the stress of dealing with you teenagers that was affecting my spelling.

Has anyone figured out where I am?

    Have fun and be safe,
    Mr. C

  6. I thnik you're somewhere in California. (Los Angeles?)

  7. I actually found 2 typos!!!

#1: In the caption under the picture of you in the desert, it should have a semicolon, not a comma.

#2: In the segment challenging us to guess where you are, "picts" needs a period, because it is an abbreviation.

  8. Hi John:

Very close! Some of the animal picts were from the San Diego Zoo. Others were from the Ortega Hwy. This is a cut through the mts. Very neat ride with awesome views.

  9. Hi Mr. Carrison! Are you having a fun and mischeivious summer with Flash?? Are you going to set off any fireworks? Every year my neighbor does, and my dad has a police scanner so he tells him when the police are coming over. Sorry, very bad, I know. We're not making too much noise though! Can you tell us the 8th grade teams and teachers? A lot of people left, so I'm not sure who's where and teaching what.

  12. Hey guys, does anyone have an old fish tank they are NOT using? Like a twenty gallon one?? I'm going to get some fish, but I kinda need a tank first. I'm also getting a bunny! I'm so excited! Mr. Carrison are you having fun in MAine? I saw you in someone's driveway, most likely fixing their car. I waved, but you didn't see me I don't think. We were on our way to your favorite restaraunt, it happens to be in the harbor. Can you guess?

  22. Mr. Carrison,
I would be delighted to inform you that I have managed to mold my hectic schedule during the school year around posting on your blog to harass you and your new students with grammar correction, irrelevant comments and retorts, and all around obnoxiousness.

    Sincerely,
    Kathleen L.

Ahaha, anyways, (even though that is all true) I hope you (and Flash) have had a good summer and maybe I'll be able to stop by the school sometime. Also, I've finally decided what I want to do for a career when I get out of school, and though since it involves science, you might be interested. I'm going to become a Theoretical Physicist (famous TP's include Newton, Einstein, Shrodinger (who's cat is DEAD, in my opinion), and Kaku). =) I've already bought numerous books on Physics and I'm extremely excited.

Have you ever taught Physics? Do you know any good books?

PS: You should give me a shout out on your first blog for 2008-2009 because I'm that awesome.

  23. Oh, and forgot to mention, but have you heard about the LHC? (Large Hadron Collider?)
If so what do you think about it?
I'm excited for it, though a lot of people think it's going to kill us all.

  24. hey thats kinda creepy to like talk to mr.c like hes a friend(no offence) and to leave him messages opn his blog

    ReplyDelete
  25. I personally don't see how it's classified as 'creepy', maybe it could be unusual, but it's not a big deal that I keep in touch with my old teachers?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Mr. Carrison can i PLEASE come back to your class? Im sure emily h. wants to come too.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Sorry Roisin, you have learned all/most of my boring life stories and it is time to move on to a new teacher! Otherwise I would be HAPPY to take you back. Imagine how atomically boring it would be to hear all my boring stories AGAIN!!! Inhuman at best!

Kathleen a world renowned physics, heaven help the planet. This even impressed Flash and he is not easy to get a response from.

Good luck, I really enjoyed my year with all of you semi-smart teenage 8th graders.

    Mr. C and Flash

Woods! I’m still looking for that homework assignment!!!

John C, Flash (The Wonder HOUND) is getting a complex as he is not on your blog!

  28. Have you told the new 7th graders about the blog? Do you think they will be as comment crazed as we were?

  33. Mr. Carrison, science this year is SO BORING! We don't do any fun labs, like the soda measurement thing, and there are no fish heads, dead, preserved animals, and there is NOTHING in mr heckard's room! I'm so used to your firehazard room! I miss science. Last year it was my favorite, and this year it's classified as 'most-dreaded'. We have open-binder quizzes, too! Not just open notes! THE WHOLE BINDER WITH GUIDED READING! IT"S LIKE BEING ABLE TO USE THE BOOOK! There are no scantrons, either. I know, upsetting.

It's not as bad as I make it seem, but it's far from good. Can me and Roisin come back to seventh grade science?? We're learning the same stuff anyways!

say hi to Flash the wonder hound for me!

  34. john, if u make a single comment on my spelling, I swear you WILL get shoved into a locker the next time I see you...

  35. Emily verses the Typo Police... not a pretty site! Glad to hear you miss Flash and my class. Would love to have a few of you back but you would get tired of hearing the same old boring live stories over again! Give Mr. H a chance, it is not easy starting off in a new school and I can tell you from experience… teaching is not as easy as it looks! I have left a present with him to keep you and Roisin company!

John C – I will toss in a link to your page when I get the blog back up and running. May shoot for next week as there is a test. Your blog has certainly glacially surpassed mine!!!

    Have fun a the dance,
    Mr. C

  36. Emily-

I'm still going to correct your spelling, as I cannot fit into the school's miniature lockers!

    1. the "Mr" in "Mr Heckard" should have aperiod as it is an abbrieviation.

    2. "firehazard" is 2 words.

    3. "say" at the end should be capitalized.

    4. "me and Roisin" is bad grammar!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Mr C.-

when you say "glacially" do you mean my blog has slowly surpassed yours, or that my blog is a slow-moving glacier?
