7. How is active transport different from passive transport?
8. List the two processes that we studied in class that occur in the mitochondria.
9. Do you know the difference and similarities between osmosis and diffusion?
10. Fancy word for – all the thingies in a cell – group name for all the structures in a cell – chloroplasts, nucleus and endoplasmic reticulum are all examples of this fancy word!
11. What is the difference between an atom and a molecule?
12. Do you know the major three particles that make up an atom?
13. Do atoms make up molecules or do molecules make up atoms?
14. I would have a simple chart of meiosis vs. mitosis in my notes – do you ? WHY NOT?
15. Hum, might you also have a chart showing the differences and similarities of the 2 different types of fermentation?
16. Hum, hum, hum, might you also have a chart or table of sorts showing cellular respiration vs fermentation???
17. Da, have you read the chapter? 118 to 141???
18. Might you review some of the cell organelles from the last chapter? Flash highly recommends this!!!

29. When Tiki is tormenting society and chasing Flash, why do his muscles sting a bit after an energetic prolonged stalking attack on poor Flash???

Remember the crossword puzzle is due tomorrow. If you are having trouble fitting it all on one page:
- Turn on your formatting marks and check for extra spaces under your name/date/per table
- Use a test box or two to put your clues in
- Remember to CHANGE your margins!
- Put the title, your and my name all on one line?
- Put the credit to puzzlemaker.com in a small test box in one of the "nooks" of your puzzle.
- Get creative! Nothing says the title, your and my name have to be under... the table!
Check with each other for help with your crossword project. Might consider having in peer reviewed BEFORE passing it in!
Remember to change the format of your actual puzzle (behind text) and clip art (in front of text)
I have seen a lot of nice work so far! My guess is you will be beating an old man out of a few 101’s tomorrow! Doh!!!
Using a clipart or pict as a watermark DOES count as one of the two required cliparts!

ReplyDeleteGerrrrrrr! Uhg!!! Looks like we traded a BEATUEFUL sunny, warm beach day in June for a miserable cold and snowy January day. Not my idea of a good trade!
Tuesday we will have a meiosis and mitosis worksheet. The plan is to correct the sheet (providing no veggers!) and then review some of the other worksheets on this chapter. Wed is a 1/2 day - I may use this day to start the introduction to microscopes segment of our curriculum. That means that Thursday will be SHOW TIME / Test TIME!
That said, have fun in the snow, see you tomorrow. The Cell Function test will be postponed to Thursday. Pass the word.
This will give you time to get Ms. Sabonis's autograph!!! Have fun annoying her!!!!!!!

Emily - The "chearch" should have been CHERISH. Flash and I went for a high adventure via a coffee run to Dunkin Donuts. Then to the dump and next we went for a quick sniff-a-thon at the public boat ramp. What fun!
