Summer Science Fun Blog

Welcome Ms. Jane Greenberg and fellow class members. This blog was used by my students last year as a study guide. The deal was one or two of my students viewed the test and then made study guide questions. They then emailed them to me and I check them over and occasionally edited here and there. I added in a few pictures of my handsome hound Flash and posted the study guide to this blog. (which is FREE!) The students then posted comments and either requested help or offered help. Sadly several students choose to NOT use the study guide but MANY did. Those that took the time and effort did benefit from their efforts and had fun in the process.

Worth a try, it's easy to keep up and running, fun to set up and well received by all involved.

CLICK ON COMMENTS AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT TO SEE STUDENT INPUT. Keep in mind, you DO NOT have control over what they post! I do monitor but do not live online. There were a couple of comments I choose to delete.

Hello Gang - I will leave this blog up all summer so you have a way to keep in touch with each other. Watch for Flash and I around town on one of our many daily high adventures, he loves the attention.

Have a fun and SAFE summer and remember... Science Rules & You Are America's Future!

  12. Mr C,
I am suffering from extreme locker deprovation disorder. Is there a cure??? Please help!! It has only been 4 1/2 days since I left my locker, but I need serious help. I can't stop thinking about how lonely it must be. All I have to remember it by is the picture you gave me with Kaya Stewrt standing in front of it when I was out for a week!!! HELP!

  15. Hi Bridget and Gang:

Bridget - To help you with your locker issue I have signed you up for summer school! Hope you do not mind but the only course still open was "Boring Science Teacher Life Stories 101." I can't figure out why this course was not the first one filled??? Anyway, you are signed up, won't that be fun? I'm sure you locker also misses you.

Brenda - I will give your brother the hint to buy your old science textbook for your birthday or Christmas gift. Until then you can visit it in the window.

Hope everyone is having a safe and fun vacation. Flash and I are having a ball!!! He is even starting to like the boat.

    Be safe,
    Mr. C

  22. Hello Gang:

TJ - Thanks for the shirt offer, at the way the Twinkies are staying with me I will be in a men's extra large before long! - Thanks for the comment about being so well prepared; I will share it with the other team members if you do not mind.

Bridget - Any rain in my classroom and your old locker gets the cutting touch!

Caroline - My guess is that I will try and have this "crop" of new 7th graders using this blog for the Introduction to Cells test. You guys tired of it after a few tests so I will wait awhile for this group.

Hope the year is going well and you guys are all still "semi smart" and enjoying your sardines and Twinkies.

    Mr. C

  23. Mr. Carrison!!!!
You wouldn't do that to me!!!! I might get all depressed and run away from home and people will think I am crazy crying, "My Locker, My Locker!!!" That would be a cruel cruel thing to do.

Glad you guys feel you are well prepared for the rigors of your future education.

You might ask Santa for the return of your beloved science book! Perhaps I could swap him your old book for some holiday green and red Twinkies?

    Mr. Carrison
